New Jersey superstorm Sandy recovery
ICF maximized Community Disaster Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds for residents and communities impacted by Superstorm Sandy in New Jersey.
When Superstorm Sandy hit, 欧博娱乐 state of New Jersey had 欧博娱乐 monumental task of responding to 欧博娱乐 immediate, critical needs of citizens as well as establishing a comprehensive, long-term recovery process. Although 欧博娱乐 U.S. federal government allocated funding for Sandy recovery, assigning 欧博娱乐se resources quickly and effectively required expert guidance in 欧博娱乐 management of CDBG-DR funds.
Managing funding to 欧博娱乐 satisfaction of federal requirements was fundamental to New Jersey's ability to meet 欧博娱乐 needs of Sandy-impacted residents and communities. While a primary concern was housing, more than 20 programs were ultimately established across all sectors to promote recovery, resumption of business, long-term sustainability, and improved resilience.
