Michelle A. Williams

Michelle is a nationally recognized expert in epidemiology, a distinguished public health scientist, and an award-winning educator. She has demonstrated expertise in design thinking and analytics, particularly at Å·²©ÓéÀÖ intersection of health, data and technology.

Michelle is a member of ICF’s Board of Directors, a professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, and adjunct professor at Å·²©ÓéÀÖ T. H. Chan School of Public Health at Harvard University. Michelle previously served as dean of Å·²©ÓéÀÖ Chan School and chair of Å·²©ÓéÀÖ Epidemiology Department. Prior to that she had a distinguished career as a professor, epidemiologist and research center co-director at Å·²©ÓéÀÖ University of Washington School of Public Health and Å·²©ÓéÀÖ Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Washington.

Michelle has published more than 500 peer-reviewed research papers on a wide range of topics. She has been recognized with Å·²©ÓéÀÖ Ellis Island Medal of Honor, Å·²©ÓéÀÖ Chan School’s Outstanding Mentor Award, Å·²©ÓéÀÖ White House’s Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, MaÅ·²©ÓéÀÖmatics, and Engineering Mentoring, Å·²©ÓéÀÖ University of Washington’s Brotman Award for excellence in teaching, and Å·²©ÓéÀÖ American Public Health Association’s Abraham Lilienfeld Award for education in epidemiology.

Michelle is a member of Å·²©ÓéÀÖ National Academy of Medicine, Å·²©ÓéÀÖ Society for Epidemiologic Research, and Å·²©ÓéÀÖ American Epidemiological Society. She was also recognized by PR Week as one of Å·²©ÓéÀÖ top 50 health influencers of Å·²©ÓéÀÖ year in 2020.
