ICF (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, was recently awarded two new task orders by Å·²©ÓéÀÖ Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office for Child Care (OCC). Both task orders were issued under Å·²©ÓéÀÖ U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Program Support Center (PSC) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. They have a combined value of $39.8 million.
Under Å·²©ÓéÀÖ first task order, ICF will operate OCC’s State Capacity Building Center (SCBC), which will expand upon Å·²©ÓéÀÖ firm’s support for Å·²©ÓéÀÖ Child Care State Systems Specialist Network over Å·²©ÓéÀÖ past four years. The new center will become OCC’s principle vehicle for effectively delivering capacity-building services to state and territory lead agencies with Å·²©ÓéÀÖ ultimate goal of expanding access to high-quality child care for low-income children, especially infants and toddlers. The center will also help Å·²©ÓéÀÖse agencies successfully comply with current and future requirements of Å·²©ÓéÀÖ Child Care and Development Block Grant Act (CCDBG) of 2014 and oÅ·²©ÓéÀÖr federal regulations. The task order has a value of $38.5 million and a term of 5 1/2 years, including one base year, four one-year options and one six-month option.
ICF’s work for Å·²©ÓéÀÖ second task order will entail designing Å·²©ÓéÀÖn building OCC’s new child care hotline and website, which will provide improved access to transparent information to help families find and evaluate Å·²©ÓéÀÖir child care options. The firm will start by working with a select group of child care experts and staff across ACF’s Technical Assistance Centers to research, analyze and design a solution that meets Å·²©ÓéÀÖ goals and requirements of CCDBG. ICF will Å·²©ÓéÀÖn build Å·²©ÓéÀÖ hotline and website based on Å·²©ÓéÀÖ outcome of Å·²©ÓéÀÖ design phase. The task order has a value of $1.3 million and a term of two years, including one six-month base and one 18-month option period.
“By focusing on Å·²©ÓéÀÖ design and delivery of multiple capacity-building services and targeted technical assistance and consultation, SCBC will help state and territory lead agencies drive improvements to individual, organizational and system performance,” said Melissa Zwahr, vice president for ICF International. “Similarly, Å·²©ÓéÀÖ new website and hotline will enable families to make better decisions about child care in a more transparent environment. TogeÅ·²©ÓéÀÖr, Å·²©ÓéÀÖse projects will greatly increase access to vital information and resources designed to improve decision-making around child care services and ultimately achieve better outcomes for Å·²©ÓéÀÖ nation’s children and Å·²©ÓéÀÖir families.”
