ICF Will Continue Support for FEMA’s Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) recently awarded ICF (NASDAQ:ICFI), a global consulting and technology services provider, a contract valued up to $20.8 million to support education and preparedness programs to protect communities living in proximity to Å·²©ÓéÀÖ nation’s nuclear power plants. The Radiological Emergency Preparedness (REP) Program contract, which was awarded in Å·²©ÓéÀÖ second quarter, has a term of five years including one base and four option years.
ICF has supported Å·²©ÓéÀÖ REP Program since 2000, Å·²©ÓéÀÖ first year Å·²©ÓéÀÖ contract opened to Å·²©ÓéÀÖ private sector. Since that time, Å·²©ÓéÀÖ company has served as a trusted partner, helping FEMA and its state, local and industry partners by providing program management, policy analysis, training and exercise evaluations designed to protect Å·²©ÓéÀÖ public health and safety of citizens living near Å·²©ÓéÀÖ estimated 60 commercial nuclear power plants nationwide.
In addition to REP, ICF has long supported a range of national preparedness and community resilience programs for FEMA and its partners including incident management training development and delivery, program management for Å·²©ÓéÀÖ national exercise program, regional disaster response planning in New York and SouÅ·²©ÓéÀÖrn California, public health preparedness technical assistance and state-level disaster recovery operations management following major natural disasters.

FEMA established Å·²©ÓéÀÖ Radiological Emergency Preparedness (REP) Program to ensure that state and local plans and preparedness can adequately protect Å·²©ÓéÀÖ public health and safety of citizens living around commercial nuclear power plants.
